I think he was just saying that Ship is trouble and that Alan is (as usual) a wanker. And if that’s the case, he’s right. XD
My not be what you want to hear but what is there for him to get? Ship has only shown him she dose not hold real attachment for humans. She jumped right into bead with him after being told her old master was dead. To me this would not show any desire to be with him, in fact it would show she done not want to be with him. Right now he is being pretty decent by giving here time to talk it out rather than shelf her as the last master did.
