Aaaand, placeholder! But it’s pretty close to done. Glance had to work on the latest edition of Thorn Prince for Filthy Figments so she couldn’t work on the page and finish it today. We should have the completed colors sometime during the day. If they’re done by the time you see this, then disregard this notice. XD

See, folks… “droppin’ the DL knowledge” goes both ways, and Ship gets a taste of hubris on warm flatbread when Alan points out that she confused him greatly with her antics in Episode 3. Although excellent heebie-jeebie points for bringing up the whole you-banged-my-daughter bit.

Gaze into the abyss for before you lies a taste of… THE FUTURE!!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

*coughs*

Okie dokie, this week’s installment we have a shocker for Alan (but no surprise at all to any of us, amirite?) OH, Ship’s kinda miffed that you’re fucking around on her, Alan? No! It can’t be! It is! Anyway, Ship tells it like it is and Alan gets a sobering dose of reality.

In other news: the first line of this post is a glimpse into the future of Ship in a Bottle. I managed to convince Glance to color tonight’s page because I was feeling under-the-weather, but it may be that we’ve worked out some kind of long-term deal regarding that. And truth be told, I couldn’t be happier because Prettio’s art deserves someone of Glance’s skill level to color it, really. I’m ok, but she’s waaayyyy better. We’re not going full-time with this just yet, which means I may yet still color a few more pages before we make this deal etched in stone, but once we do, it’ll be a huge load off my mind because then I’ll be able to return to my forgotten Magnum Porn Opus: Peppermint Saga you can find at sexcelebrity website. More as this develops, of course.

The Deal

A number of folks have expressed concern to me that Ship in a Bottle was originally “sold” as a “whimsical, episodic sitcom” style comic, but now it has taken a decidedly long-form story format. Worry not, mah chiddlins. What ended up happening was that I had too many ideas at once back at inception in 2008-2009 and decided that I was going to do a 6-chapter opening arc. Now, at 1x a week, that means we’ll finish Chapter 6 sometime either at the end of this year or early next. After that, you will see far less ongoing story and each episode will be self-contained, either exploring the goofy relationship between Alan and Ship, or making light of the world(s) they inhabit.

I’d like to take this opportunity to welcome any and all viewers from the various ad zones served by my recent Juicy Ads campaign on a couple different Hentai sites. I like to try and have some appeal to an international audience, especially since I work with artists from all over the world to produce this series. Sadly, the only language I am fluent in is English. So as a result, all of my blogs and dialog in the comic are English as well. However, I am always open to the idea of having someone translate Ship in a Bottle so it may have a broader international appeal.
