Finally finished reading the whole thing [New reader here]. Really nice comic, this, though it seems updates are somewhat erratic. Hopefully nothing stupid happens IRL over there, Mace. Keep on keepin’ on.
Ghosts, now, huh? Mmmkay. Let’s see where this goes.
Oh, and it’s 2019, now. *points at extreme bottom right*
Okay. Somebody PLEASE explain the hand gesture in panel 4. I’ve been seeing that in Japanese anime for years and I haven’t got the foggiest idea what it means.
that hand sign means “Devil”. it’s kinda like “Rock On”, but you add your thumb to the sign.
Okay. Thanks. I’ve seen that ever since I first started watching “Urusei Yatsura” many years ago. I never saw an explanation for it. It makes watching anime easier to understand.
you’re quite welcome.
Thinking back I can understand using that hand sign when Ataru got shocked by Lum. After all, she is an Oni and Oni is the Japanese word for devil/demon. It was also used every time one person got the better of another.
true. but if i recall, Lum was also a genie.
No, I’m afraid not. Lum was an Oni from another world. The only things she could do that humans can’t are fly and give off electric shocks. Oh, well, she could cook SPICY foods. LOL.
why do i have the feeling that Mr. Cornelius and Bootler are related in this line of work?
