Ok, so we have updates galore at Frilly Pink. We ran out of money, so I can’t update Ship in a Bottle for a while, but I was able to get an artist for a new series at Frilly Pink. It’s called “Kawaii Neko Daigaku”, and it features catgirls, pantsu and all manner of embarrassing debauchery. That debuts on February 10. The bad news is that IW as planning on hiring the team of MagniFire and Saint-Tail to deliver Ship unto you all again, but the compamny startup money ened up being redirected to keeping me from being homeless. So we had a $600 shortfall that has prevented me from hiring any new talent to do anything that doesn’t have an direct subscription model. That’s why Prettio isn’t updating Mocaccino Gang, etc. I have just enough to keep our new series afloat for about 5 months, then we’re back to $0. So please, if you haven’t already, consider joining Frilly Pink. Your small sacrifice monthly may hasten the return of this series to which so many of you profess your love. ;3
I want to sign up for Frilly Pink, but unfortunately it doesn’t accept MasterCard.
I hear ya, and it was a difficult choice not to use their services. But Visa and Mastercard each charge $500 separately in order to take their cards. Now, Visa is a no-brainer. They are roughly 80% of the entire credit card market. But Mastercard… they’re a lot less. Something like, 5-10% of the credit card market. So I can’t justify spending an extra $500/year to get right with them, and it’s unfortunate. All I can suggest is that you try the e-check option. It’s actually quite secure. But we’d need at least 25 new signups a month on Mastercard alone to justify the exepense, and we are nowhere near that.
You might be thinking of their debit card rankings instead of their credit card rankings, which are a somewhat closer run race: http://www.cardhub.com/edu/market-share-by-credit-card-network/ Are those numbers enough to justify you plunking down a $500/year gamble? Beats the heck out of me.
I did consider the e-check option…for a few minutes. Having had my credit card details stolen twice on my on-line only card, the idea of having that happen to my checking account just gives me the screaming jib-jabs. Sorry.
If you ever publish your stuff on, for example, DriveThruComics, I’d certainly buy through them. (Which I just did a few minutes ago with what Ebeneezer Splooge has up for grabs on that site.)
Good luck, and thanks!
