So, I have been noticing some “broken” stuff, not the least of which is that Comic Easel is no longer updating so we can continue to use the ComicPress theme with WordPress. Frumph, aka Phil Hoefer, is but one guy, and while I have seen people give him coding help, I wouldn’t expect anyone to keep doing this kind of thing for free indefinitely. Especially if you’re a 50-something or 60-something-year-old person. There was an update to version 1.16 back in November that might fix the backend errors I am seeing, but it’s not listed in the WordPress repository, and the Github .ZIP file just breaks the site. I’d really hate to remodel the site to work with Tocheke (the updater I have deployed at https://ppplore.frillypink.com) as it is bulky and works entirely differently, but the Comic Easel website is gone. It’s the end of an era, I guess.
