Such strange notions. “Story is average”? You thought this was supposed to be more than a porn-o-riffic sitcom? It’s Urusei Yatsura meets I Dream of Jeannie. That’s it. As for artwork, I can’t exactly say that tira-chan is better or worse than me or anyone else at our purported skill level. She does a great job with cute girls… and the rest are my designs, colors, backgrounds, and so on, and so forth (except where another colorist like Tessa was used). So I ALREADY do up to 60% of the artwork as a result, including periodically editing the artwork presented to me for mechanical and anatomy problems. It sounds like you never really liked the comic much in the first place, so your departure would really be no loss to me. But you’ll CERTAINLY miss out on Glance’s amazing artwork when it debuts with Chapter 4. So, bye. Have a nice life.

Hahaha, Okay if you say so. What you probably don’t realize is 99% of my DA is done with a Mouse on an Oekaki board. XD Believe me I’m better than you think. None of my original artwork is placed up there for reasons of desiring to keep my copyrights.
I can tell you “Mace” has nothin’ on me I’ve seen his other comic. I’ve been coming here to show my support for Tira-Chan. The comic is actually fairly undesirable on the whole. The coloring is fairly basic windows Bitmap style “Cell-Shading.” And the background is just copy pasted bullshit most of the time. My coloring style is a bit more involved than Mace’s even in it’s most basic form. So to say I’m not to THIS level that’s just some ass-kissing fan-talk not an actual observation.
Mace’s characters are hideously designed and very deformed. Even with a great Base design to work off of Like Tira’s design of Ship he still made it look fugly. Just look at that banner The face is squashed like he’s trying to draw some 80’s anime style but the cheek structure is more compatable with late 90’s. The hairstyle is dumbed down and her ears are all jacked up. One of them having the bottom on level where the other one’s top is. Yeah I could do better. I thought there might be something additional from Tira-Chan but I guess there wont be.
And no, I’ve never been a fan the story has sucked from the very start and yes, I’m a better writer than Mace as well. I’ve written stories in high-school that are more engaging and dynamic than anything I’ve seen mace do. My presence here has been just to support my friend’s efforts in the professional realm. And while she still has trouble with scale she’s still beyond Mace and it’s sad to see her go.
And I will be starting a comic series at some point for practice on panel dynamics and scene settings, but right now I’m busy with my University. I did a great large sized comic (18×24) that I can’t scan last quarter which would have blown this out of the water. I drew actual detailed backgrounds and thoughtful lighting consideration.
In opinion Mace isn’t good enough to be a professional, but I’m not gonna rag on him for trying, because while I don’t like the way he draws or tells a story, I have seen much, much worse. For example Krazy Krow, I’d say his story telling is quite a bit better, but his artwork is even worse. He remedied this in his Comic Spinnerette by getting actual talented artists. Now there’s really no complaint from me.
And I can sympathize with his poverty. I know I wouldn’t be able to afford an artist to draw anything I write. So I’d do it myself. As much more work as that is. So yeah in that aspect I understand. But Ship doesn’t have a great story, or even a good one… So I just don’t really support it continuing with a downgrade. That’s my whole protest.

You claim this and that but you downright told us you won’t prove it so what reason is there to believe you? And why does everything have to be ‘oh so good’ to be acceptable by anyone? :\ That boggles my mind quite a bit
I guess the only “problems” I have with your so-called “assessment” (aside from the “I can do better, but I won’t prove it” attempt at trolling) is that a) Peppermint Saga and Ship in a Bottle are PORN, so the “plot” is not terribly relevant, and b) you’ve clearly never read Starship Moonhawk or The Lavenders or any of my other so-called “legitimate” stories. Which, dare I say, have received FAR BETTER critical review. But more to the point… there just isn’t enough material here AT ALL to render a judgement on whether I am a capable writer or NOT. That’s the aspect I find most amusing. Great. You’re a Tira-chan fanboi. Well, she’s a pinup artist, and has made no real effort to improve her paneling or the way she does things in general over the past two years. I find it even MORE amusing that all of a sudden, NOW I have to adhere to some kind of artistic CONVENTIONS in order to be considered good? Get the fuck off my page, sir.
