“Ship in a Bottle” is a new “ecchi” romantic comedy by “Mace Paladino” (yours truely) and artist tira-chan. It’s a collaborative effort beased on a series concept I created just recently as I was thinking unusually hard about magical girl fantasy and the classic 60’s sitcom: “I Dream of Jeannie”, and I was also thinking of all of the Japanese comedies I had ever seen (Ah! My Goddess, Ranma 1/2, Magical Twilight, Urusei Yatsura, etc.) and all of the Magical Girl craze, and I said: “BY JOVE, what if I combined some of those things into a seuper-sexy comedy?!”
And thus, “Ship in a Bottle” was born. I take part “I Dream of Jeannie” and mix in some Genshiken, with a little Ranma style madcap madness, and I think we have a winner. Only time will tell. 🙂
