I like to think of it more like the singing plants of Talos IV from the original Star Trek pilot: a gentle, wind-chiming sound.
Every other story and strip I’ve read/seen has needed an awkward and necessary incubation period to settle in and introduce the primary characters, and this is no exception. This here is a lovely strip, and I think it marks the start of the series proper. Let the sex, romance, and hijinks begin.

In the original, I lampshaded that. But I feel like… I wasn’t ready to commit to the story or their relationship, yet. Having been in a long term relationship for a while now, I feel a little differently about things and see them in a new light.
I’m just looking forward to seeing how their relationship evolves.
Last time it sort of stalled out a bit, and perhaps also went a bit fast?

Jeannie, the genie this series is inspired by, wore one very much like it. However, keep in mind: Ship’s costume is dynamic and will change as the series progresses.
