“This crew… is the biggest collection of retards and assholes… IN NAVAL HISTORY!”
Ahhh, Down Periscope… you always have a quotable for me to use.
Hope everyone had a great New Year. What’s this, you say? It’s December 30? Ignore the post-dating. I do that because I like how it lines up on the calendar. Yep. That’s the reason…

I’m not seeing the “nimrods” actually doing anything particularly wrong…? – what exactly is she so miffed about? I mean, sure, Bear’s posture isn’t great, but he’s at least has enough sense to balance the book – most people I know can’t. No idea what hip grabbing Alan is about, but he did tuck her into the chair in a way that looked alright? Not ideally close, but within parameters, at least.
Hmm… The way I looked at it, I think she didn’t enjoy getting bumped by Bear trying to balance the book, having to correct Alan’s bad posture (likely repeatable) and it is obvious at least one of the two noticed Alan looking down her cleavage whilst seating her…
um, why do your comic pages say Friday, yet they’re posted by early next week?
She’s diverting blame onto Bear and Alan.
Seriously, speaking as a Jew myself, why’e everyone speaking Yiddish all of a sudden? This has really been baffling me.
Bear, is Jewish. Shiphrah, our title genie, has a Hebrew name. Also, given her age, she pre-dates the other two major religions by a lot. (Christianity and Islam) and Clara, well, if you read 1.0 in the “Classic Archive” (points hard at the link at the top that says “Classic Archive”), then you know what Clara is. If not… well, then, I’m not spoiling it further. All will be made clear at the end of the chapter in any case.
And here I thought it was a TRS shout out.
Whoa there; watch the hands, Missy.
I like the cowed ear expressions; nice touches.
Oops, busted…
“Oy vey”? Is she Jewish or does she have friends that are? LOL. BTW, I love her witch’s outfit, or is it a wizard’s outfit. Either way, I love it.
go back a couple of pages, and you’ll see she’s part Yiddish.
I did check a few pages back because I wanted to make sure I wasn’t talking through my hat. I didn’t see any reference to Jewish ancestry but I will admit that quite often, like most guys, I get a bit too caught up in the scenery to notice. LOL.
I guess I’ll go all the way back to the beginning of this arc and check again. Thanks for the clarification.
Or check – as suggested above by Mace – the ‘classic archive’ versios of the comics for some clarification on Clara’s ancestry! š
