I suspect now the plot is becoming more clear. Took some heat because we changed this so drastically from the original. That may be true, but technically, we didn’t change Beatrice at all. Beatrice was always “Bi The Way” (check that out at All The Tropes). The original plan was to show more BDSM stuff with her in a comical way, but… for “reasons” we never got around to it. And, thanks to the dubious “R” rating restriction we imposed on ourselves the first time around, sex scenes had to be kept somewhat brief. I agree that it was empowering for Ship to engineer her own escape, but rest assured, that’s exactly what she did this time, too. As for Beatrice taking consensual sexual abuse from Alan and another partner… that’s not done yet with this episode… not by a long shot. XD (In fact, she gets more “punishing” than she knows what to do with in “Time to get DIRTY!” coming up next ;p)

Anyway, let’s keep trying to drive up the Patreon. Since I am deep into the movie, I will be switching in Peppermint Saga: Blue-Gray Rhapsody into the third tier. Some of you seemed to like that. I don’t really have time to draw any comics right now (UncolaMan, I will be discussing the bonus comic you purchased soon enough. Probably going to subcontract that out), so the Original Peppermint Saga is off the table for the time being. Maybe if the Starship Moonhawk movie does well, I can “retire” from retail and focus on art full-time, but unless that happens, I’ve got a mountain of debt and another 20 years of working for $9/hr + commissions staring me in the face. If you are curious about what I do when I claim to be working on my “legitimate” projects, for Starship Moonhawk, we have a Patreon page geared toward making the comic resume. The series is an R-Rated sci-fi melodrama set in the 30th Century aboard a ship pegged “The biggest gun in the universe”. Inspired by the likes of Space Battleship Yamato, Star Trek, Star Wars and a (now obscure) video game series called “Wing Commander”, Starship Moonhawk addresses some deep social issues and speaks heavily about the cost of war and human arrogance.

Anyway, here’s the Patreon link if any of you wish to be “Insiders”. The minimum bid to get all the “good stuff” will be $5. $5000 and up will get “Associate Producer” credit, even though it is not yet listed on the page.
